Before you arrive, here’s some information to help you prepare for your visit to Dubai.
There will be two payments for the duration of the assessments.
An Emirates medical assessment linked to your GCAA application (includes your vision assessment & chest x-ray) and Language Proficiency Test:
This will be a payment made at the Academy after you have successfully passed your tests.
In order to be successful in your application, you will be tested against the GCAA requirements for the region.

Please check if you need to arrange a visa before you arrive in Dubai and that your passport is valid for the minimum period. You can check with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
As an added security measure, the Immigration Authority at Dubai International airport is now conducting random iris scans for visitors. If you’re asked to take part, you need to present a copy of your visa or a printed visa confirmation page at the screening counter. If you don’t bring a copy, you’ll be charged AED 30 to print one.
You need to book your return flight for your assessment dates. The cost of your flight is not included in your assessment fees.
You can take advantage of a special rate just for candidates at the Aloft Dubai South, which is conveniently located next to the Emirates Flight Training Academy.

We’ll provide a transfer between the Aloft Dubai South hotel and the academy. We’ll send you more details about the times and schedule once your payment is confirmed. If you decide to stay at another hotel, you need to arrange to get to the academy.
We’ll provide lunch and refreshments during your assessment.
